I have had a love for Blacksmithing since I was a young boy, hanging out at the historic blacksmith shops as long as I could, and dreaming of one day having my own blacksmith shop, where all my ideas could become a reality. From historical type S hooks, to practical tent stakes or decorative candle holders, I make each piece completely by hand, in my shop, here in the beautiful rolling hills of Wisconsin. I love my work here at Horner Forge, and draw inspiration from my wife and little children, who are the family behind “Horner Forge”.

I enjoy my work, and love nothing better then to work in my shop on a warm spring day, the doors open, sunlight streaming in, birds chirping and my little boy nearby with his own wooden hammer. The ring of the anvil and the blows of the hammer echo on the morning breeze, as a iron piece comes to shape beneath the blows of my hammer.

Each piece is heated in my forge, to the perfect red-hot color, and then hammered by hand, to create each unique item. I find great satisfaction in seeing my work go from a piece of rough iron, to a beautiful finished item, with some heat, a hammer and a skill passed down from our forefathers.

If you too enjoy the rustic and historical, then take a look around my shop, feel feel to ask questions, and enjoy your stay!
